Project overview
A 4.99MW ground-mount solar PV project located in north-east Scotland. The team managed the full development lifecycle from site identification through planning consent, DNO grid connection and spade-ready asset sale to an established renewable energy developer.
Grid connection
The project required a 132kV grid connection to the local DNO network, with a Gate 2 offer secured following a complex negotiation over connection terms and export capacity. The team managed the full connection process on behalf of the developer, including the Gate 2 submission, negotiation of the connection agreement, and coordination with the planning and finance workstreams to ensure alignment of connection and planning programmes.
EPC and asset sale
The team supported the EPC procurement process, including preparation of the technical specification, contractor shortlisting and bid evaluation. Following planning consent and grid connection offer, the project was sold as a spade-ready development asset.
