Quality, Standards & Professional Qualifications
At Cooper Potter & Partners, the quality of our technical work and the professionalism of our client service are central to everything we do. This page sets out our approach to quality, the standards we work to, the qualifications our team holds and how we engage with our industry.
Quality Management Approach
CPP operates internal quality management procedures that are aligned with the principles and framework of internationally recognised quality management standards. We do not currently hold third-party ISO 9001 certification, but our quality processes reflect the same fundamental requirements — covering project scoping and planning, technical delivery, document control, peer review, client communication and continual improvement.
Our approach to quality is practical rather than procedural. Every project we deliver is subject to internal technical review before outputs are issued to clients. We maintain clear document control and version management on all project work, and we hold structured project close-out reviews to capture lessons learned.
Technical Standards
Our technical work is carried out in accordance with relevant national and international standards. These include:
- ENA Engineering Recommendations G99 and G100 — grid connection standards for generation and storage
- BS 7671 — IET Wiring Regulations, relevant to electrical installation work
- ESQCR — Electricity Supply Quality and Continuity Regulations
We work to these standards because they represent best practice in our fields, not simply because they are required. Where standards evolve, we update our practice accordingly.
Professional Qualifications
Our team holds the highest levels of professional qualification available in their respective disciplines. These span electrical engineering, construction management, environmental science, health and safety and facilities management. We maintain active continuing professional development and hold recognised accreditations from professional bodies including the Chartered Institute of Building, the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management and others relevant to our work.
Specific technical accreditations held by our team include UK Civil Aviation Authority drone operator authorisation for UAV survey work and EUSR National Grid Competent Person status for work on high-voltage electrical infrastructure.
Procurement Frameworks
CPP is an accredited supplier on the following public sector procurement frameworks, providing compliant and efficient routes for public sector organisations to commission our services:
- Bloom NEPRO3 — specialist professional services framework managed by NEPO and delivered by Bloom, covering the full UK public sector including local authorities, NHS trusts, housing associations and central government. Accredited June 2026.

Industry Engagement
We are active participants in the UK renewable energy and sustainability sector. Our team attends and speaks at industry events, engages with DNO and regulatory consultation processes, and maintains working relationships across the developer, investor, planning and supply chain communities. We believe that staying genuinely active in the industry makes us better advisors to our clients.
Professional Indemnity Insurance
CPP holds professional indemnity insurance and public liability insurance appropriate to our activities and the nature of our commissions. Certificates of insurance are available on request for clients who require them as part of supplier approval or procurement processes.
