Solar PV Development
Our solar PV development capability covers projects from 500kW to 50MW, spanning rooftop, ground-mount and agrivoltaic configurations. We manage every stage of the development process, including site identification, desktop feasibility, landowner heads of terms, pre-application planning engagement, DNO grid connection applications, ecological surveys, planning submissions and appeals, and final project handover or asset sale.
We have particular expertise in the all major DNO regions network areas and maintain strong working relationships with DNO connection teams across all regions.
Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Battery energy storage is the critical enabler of the UK power system transition. Our BESS development capability covers standalone and co-located projects, including site identification, grid connection, planning and preparation for asset sale or ongoing operation. We have worked on projects ranging from 1MW/2MWh community-scale systems through to utility-scale co-located developments.
Grid Connection Management
Navigating the UK grid connection process is one of the most complex and time-critical elements of any renewable energy project. Our team has extensive experience across all DNO regions, including managing Gate 2 offers, negotiating connection terms, coordinating with transmission operators for large projects, and managing the ongoing connection process through to energisation.
We have spoken publicly on the Gate 2 grid connection process at major industry events including Solar Finance & Investment Europe.
